David Goodwin to stand in Frampton Cotterell By-Election
New MP Claire Young has kept her promise to focus on only one job and has resigned from her position as a South Glos Councillor – triggering a by-election in Frampton Cotterell ward.
Standing for the Liberal Democrats in this by-election is Focus Team member, David Goodwin. David has lived in Frampton Cotterell for over thirteen years. He works for a local engineering firm and his daughter attended a local school.
He has been a Parish Councillor in Frampton Cotterell for the last six years and is in the Youth Committee, Finance Committee and has chaired the Climate & Nature Committee.
David is a keen runner, and also acts as a guide for other visually impaired runners. He attends local martial arts classes and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for local people.
As passionate about the local community as he is about combating climate change, David has a track record of fixing local issues and has worked to make his own home as energy efficient as possible.
If elected, David would join Jon Lean and Tristan Clark as your three ward councillors who will, together, make a formidable team.
