Tackling Park Lane problems

Claire and Jon on Park Lane

During our successful campaign to fix the potholes on Church Road many of you also told us about speeding and safety problems on Park Lane.

We have been pushing for improvements to Park Lane and were pleased when resurfacing work was done around the pinch point, which has tackled the worst of the pothole issue.

Now, following our push for further safety measures, the council is proposing a new priority scheme which will extend the existing 20mph speed limits in Frampton Cotterell to include all roads bounded by Church Road, Park Lane and Badminton Road.

It also proposes traffic calming speed cushions to support the lower speed on Park Lane between the junctions of Clyde Road and Sunnyside; Woodend Road and Frome View; and Park Avenue and Rowdell Avenue.
