Bus campaign successes - Reporting back

When we heard that First Bus were intending to re-route the 86 bus away from Coalpit Heath your Focus Team jumped into action.

Following a productive morning collecting petition signatures from Greenacres Park, home to the residents who would be most affected by the change, Jon presented the petition to full council in July.


The petition called for the council to request that First Bus listen to the views of Greenacres residents –  which they did, as the proposed change was soon reverted.


We were also pleased that following pressure from your Focus Team and South Glos Council, First Bus agreed to reroute the Y6 along Beesmoor Road, restoring  a service to residents who had been cut off from the bus network following First Bus’ decision to run services along Church Road during the A432 bridge closure.
