MP Claire Young backs David Goodwin for Frampton Cotterell win

Claire Young MP has explained why the Frampton Cotterell vacancy has arisen and has endorsed David to be the new councillor for Frampton Cotterell ward.

Claire said, "I believe it’s important that our elected representatives are able to represent you to the best of their ability and shouldn’t divide their time between two jobs.

"Standing down as a councillor from Frampton Cotterell ward will allow me to focus solely on my duties as your MP and will allow me to best serve you as your representative in Parliament.


"I have known David for several years through his Parish Council work and I know he is the right person to replace me and join Jon and Tristan on the council to represent Frampton Cotterell ward.

“With a Liberal Democrat MP and three Liberal Democrat councillors representing you we really can take our service to the next level – and with your votes we will do just that.”
