South Gloucestershire Liberal Democrats have announced a resounding victory for the community with the successful extension of the 84/85 bus service.

John lives in Charfield and is a local councillor, campaigning to improve the lives of residents in the Charfield Ward.
At South Glos he is the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Health Scrutiny and Audit and Accounts, he is also a member of the West of England Combined Authority Audit Committee.

The service, which was due to finish on the 3rd of June, has been called a lifeline for work, school, and doctor appointments as well as for shopping and leisure activities.
On Wednesday 24th May, Councillor Claire Young was formally confirmed as the new Leader of South Glos Council, following the Local Council Election results earlier this month which saw the Liberal Democrats increase its number of Councillors to 20.
South Gloucestershire Liberal Democrats have given a cautious welcome to the news that the local council has submitted a business case for reopening Charfield station to the regional authority.
